  First of all if you are all new to WordPress, I would recommend to learn a little bit about it before you get started. Here are some nice Resources on how to get started with WordPress.

Install Theme

The first option how to install this Theme would be to directly upload the basquito.zip file via WordPress Theme Uploader.  

• FTP Upload:
  • Unzip the "OnEvent.zip" file from theme folder
  • Open up your FTP manager and connect to your hosting
  • Browse to wp-content/themes
  • Upload the doors theme folder
  • Log Into WordPress and go to Appearance > Themes
  • Find the OnEvent Theme and click activate
• Wordpress Upload:
  • Log into your WordPress backend
  • Navigate to Appearance > Themes
  • Click Install Themes
  • Click Upload
  • Now you just need to find the "OnEvent.zip" in the Upload folder and hit Install now.
  • After complete installation click on active button to active The theme.

Plugin Installation

If installation was successful, you'll see a notice about required plugins for OnEvent, to proceed click "Begin installing plugins".

Just click the Begain installing Plugin and it will move to install page. Install the plugin. then active the plugin.

Theme Setup

OnEvent is an Simple and Nice one page event theme. After setup the theme we need to configure some option in our Backend. We will do it step by step.

Install Sample Data

You can install sample data with one click installation.

1. OnEvent provide oneclick sample data installation facility. To install sample data via theme option navigate Appearence -> OnEvent Theme Option -> demo Importer. Click on IMPORT button and wait. it will take several min. After complete installation you got a success message.

2. You can install sample data with Wordpress Builtin function. To install please Navigate Tools -> Import. You will get a POPUP from popup click onWordpress link in bottom left. Its ask you for install a importer plugin and activation.  After activate the plugin browse the .xml file and click on Upload File and Import button.

Select user as Admin and Check the checkbox for download Attachement images and click on Submit button. After complete install sample data you will get a message like this screenshoot.

Setup Home Page

To setup home page navigate Pages -> Add New Create a page with name "Home".

Setting up the Page Settings metabox. Select the page Template that named "Event Onepage Template" in Page Attributes Metabox. Now we need to set up this page as our home page.

Navigate Settings -> Reading and check A Static Page radio button and select Home page from Front page Dropdown list.

Setting up the Main menu

Go to Appearance > Menus, select menu, check Main Menu under Theme locations -> Then Select Primary Menu And save your menu

Theme Style

OnEvent Have two Different Style. 1. Color Background 2. Slider Background

You can Get Both settings From Appearance-> Theme Options-> Theme Style

Color Background:

you can change the background color from Appearance-> Theme Options-> General-> Color& Background Tab

Slider Background

add slider from Appearance-> Theme Options-> Slider . add slider image and save changes

Change the you slider settings from Appearance-> Theme Options-> Theme Style. and click slider background

Change Color

This theme come with unlimited color option . you can use any color which you prefer. you can change the color from Appearance-> Theme Options-> General-> Color& Background Tabb

Home Slider

Color background style need slider for home. you can add slider from Appearance-> Theme Options-> General-> Main Slider Tab. add slider and save changes

In General Settings you can do several important settings. like logo, favicon and retina apple icons

One page options

here is the List of Shortcode And page Option settings

Page Options

• This page is a section – If this page is a section (included in the main page ) or an independent, external page.
• Show page title – Shows or hides the page title
• Color Header Background – If Title background color
• Assign Curent page as – Only Recent blog and speaker will be transparent. others page will be default.
• Section Title - you can use page title or use this section title if you want ()
• Page Subtitle – Specify a subtitle for this page.

Hide menu

if its section from page you can hide menu from navigation bar. use yes to hide menu.

Setting Up Page

home page

To Create a Home page you have to navigate Pages -> Add New

For Home page you must be set event onepage Template from right side bar page template attribute. otherwise your one page not work

Schedule Tab Section

Create a page called Schedule form pages->add new use shortcode for schedule section [xs_main_tab]

Then you have to create Schedule from onEvent->onEvent main tab

Event Schedule

for event schedule. you have to create some schedule and day

1. first you have to create a schedule group from onEvent-> Schedule Group

2. Second create Day Under schedule Group like day1, day2, day3 . add Day into parent Group called Schedule. also add total hours of day Event

3. Now Create Schedule from onEvent->Add scedule

Add title, Add body Message, Set Time Schedule, Select day of event

4. Select Schedule group from onEvent-> onEvent Main Tab-> Event Schedule

You can show hide this tab

Select the Parent Group Name

Promotional Video

If you dont like to use video (just left the video link blank) you can add text in tab ( but this is optional either you can use embed video link or text )

Event Gallery

Add Gallery image With caption. You can order any image with drag n drop

Executive Presence

You can add Executives and order with drag n drop

create a page called speaker form pages->add new and Add shortcode [xs_speakers]

FAQ section

create a page called faq form pages->add new

Create faq accordian from shortcode.

create a page called Partner form pages->add new

And Then Add Sponsor from left sidebar Sponsor-> Add New Sponsor

create a page called Pricing form pages->add new

Add Shortcode [xs_pricing]

also you can use moren pricing table with Pricing Group. create Pricing Table-> table group and add pricing table

then generate the short like [xs_pricing table_group="pricing group1"]

From Bottom-> Page options :

Show Title ON
Colord Background OFF
Add Title And Subtitle

And Then Add Sponsor from left sidebar Sponsor-> Add New Sponsor

Blog section

create a page called Blog form pages->add new

Add Shortcode [xs_blog count="3"] count 3 Means 3 post will display in front page

Then Create Some Blog Post from Post ->Add new
